All proceeds from the ATMCC benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area’s In-School Mentoring program. Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is a donor supported, volunteer-driven organization recognized for its mentoring programs for children and youth in schools and communities throughout Calgary, Airdrie, High River, Cochrane and surrounding areas. Mentoring opportunities are available to children and youth who would benefit from having a positive role model in their lives. BBBS serves young people 6 to 18 years of age by matching them with caring volunteers in a variety of mentoring programs. Mentorship positively impacts the lives of children and youth by improving their self-esteem, relationships with others, value of education and hope for the future. The 2010 ATMCC was a huge success! For the 1st time in many years the weather co-operated (sunny skies!) and lead to all in attendance having a great time. The tournament raised $43,000 for BBBS of Calgary - one of the most significant contributions in years.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and the players in attendance at this year's event.
The tournament committee is looking forward to seeing everyone in 2011!
